Getting Started
Q: Do I need to create an account?
A: No! Couplu works completely offline. Just download and start using it immediately.
Q: Is my data private?
A: Absolutely! All your data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it. No cloud sync, no external servers.
Q: How do I add my first event/gift/restaurant?
A: Navigate to the respective tab (Dates, Gifts, or Plans) and tap the "+" button in the top right corner.
Features
Q: How does the Lucky Wheel work?
A: Go to the Wheel tab, create a new wheel or select an existing one, add your options (like restaurants), and tap "Spin" to let fate decide!
Q: Can I add photos to my items?
A: Yes! When adding or editing a gift, event, or restaurant, tap the photo icon to add images from your photo library.
Q: How do I change the app theme?
A: Go to Settings > Theme and choose from 6 beautiful theme options. You can also toggle between light and dark mode.
Q: How do I set up anniversary reminders?
A: When creating or editing an event in the Dates tab, you can set reminders for important dates.
Data Management
Q: How do I backup my data?
A: Go to Settings > Data Management > Export Data. This creates a backup file you can save anywhere you like.
Q: How do I restore my data?
A: Go to Settings > Data Management > Import Data and select your previously exported backup file.
Q: Can I transfer my data to a new phone?
A: Yes! Export your data on your old phone, then import it on your new phone using the Import Data feature.
Q: How do I delete a gift/event/restaurant?
A: Tap on the item, then tap the delete button (trash icon). Confirm deletion when prompted.
Language & Localization
Q: What languages are supported?
A: Couplu currently supports English, Chinese (Simplified), and Chinese (Traditional). Go to Settings > Language to change.
Q: Can I change the date format?
A: The date format follows your device's system settings (Settings > General > Language & Region).
Troubleshooting
Q: The app crashed. What should I do?
Try these steps:
- Force close the app and reopen it
- Restart your device
- If problem persists, email us at auntrstudio@gmail.com
Q: My photos aren't appearing. Help!
Make sure you've granted Couplu permission to access your photo library:
- Go to iOS Settings > Privacy > Photos
- Find Couplu and enable access
Q: I accidentally deleted something important!
A: If you have a recent backup, you can restore it via Import Data. Unfortunately, without a backup, deleted items cannot be recovered.
Q: The app is in the wrong language.
A: Go to Settings > Language and select your preferred language.
Features & Limitations
Q: Can I share my plans with my partner?
A: Currently, each person uses Couplu on their own device. You can export your data and share the file with your partner who can then import it.
Q: Is there a web version?
A: Not yet! Couplu is currently available only for iOS devices.
Q: Will you add cloud sync?
A: We're considering adding optional cloud sync in a future update while maintaining our privacy-first approach. Stay tuned!
Q: Can I sync between my iPhone and iPad?
A: Use the Export/Import feature to manually transfer data between devices. Automatic sync may be added in future updates.
