Welcome to Couplu. This Privacy Policy explains how Couplu ("we", "our", or "us") handles your information when you use our mobile application.

Information Collection and Use

Couplu does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or user data. All information you enter into the app (including but not limited to dates, events, gift ideas, restaurants, travel plans, notes, and photos) is stored locally on your device only.

What We DON'T Collect:

• ❌ Usage analytics
• ❌ Device identifiers
• ❌ Photos (they stay on your device)
• ❌ Any other data whatsoever

Data Storage

All data entered into Couplu is stored using:

• SQLite database - Stored locally on your device
• Device file system - For photos and attachments
• iOS UserDefaults - For app preferences

No cloud storage. No external servers. No data transmission.

Third-Party Services

Couplu does NOT use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no embedded SDKs that collect data.

Photo Library Access

If you choose to add photos to your gifts, events, or plans, Couplu requests access to your device's photo library. This access is:

• Optional - You can use the app without photos
• Local only - Photos are stored on your device
• Never uploaded - Photos never leave your device

Data Backup and Export

Couplu provides a Data Export feature that allows you to:

• Export all your data to a JSON file
• Store the backup file in your chosen location
• Import the data back into the app

This backup file:

• ✅ Is created by you, manually
• ✅ Remains under your complete control
• ✅ Is never automatically uploaded anywhere

Data Deletion

To delete your data:

1. Simply delete the Couplu app from your device
2. All data stored by Couplu will be permanently removed

Alternatively, you can delete individual items within the app.

Children's Privacy

Couplu does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect any data, there is no data to:

• Access
• Modify
• Delete
• Export (except your local export feature)
• Port to other services

You have complete control over all your data at all times because it never leaves your device.

International Users

Couplu can be used worldwide. Since no data is collected or transmitted, there are no international data transfer concerns.
